mould preheating temperature and holding pressure time
on microstructure of Al-12.4Si-4.5Cu alloy were investigated by SEM
OM
tensile testing.The results reveal that compared with common castings
squeezing castings exhibit more fine and uniform microstructure with more excellent mechanical properties
however
the ductility and corrosion resistance are decreased.The optimized processing parameters for the squeezing casting Al-12.4Si-4.5Cu alloy are presented as follows:pouring at680 ℃
preheating mould at 200℃ with pressure for 200 kN for 14 s.After heat treatment
the tensile strength and hardness of the alloy are increased by 106.8MPa and 20
compared with those of one without heat treatment.
