Effects of pouring temperature and helix angle in helical curve duct on the microstructures of A356 aluminum alloy semi-solid slurry prepared by helical curve duct were investigated.The results indicate that pouring temperature of alloy melt and helix angle in helical curve duct are related with cooling performance and self-stirring blend degree.At fixed other structural parameters of helical curve duct and process parameters
the excellent semi-solid slurries of A356 aluminum alloy can be prepared under reasonable pouring temperature combining with certain specific helix angle in helical curve.
