a 3Delastic-plastic coupled thermo-mechanical FE(finite element)model of hot radial-axial rolling of AZ31 magnesium alloy was established to analyze influence of idle roll diameter on the non-uniform distribution of strain and temperature
rolling force and power parameters.The results show that with idle roll diameter increase
the strain distribution and the temperature distribution of the rolled ring become more homogeneous
meanwhile
the rolling force and rolling moment of radial direction are gradually increased with the increase at idle roll diameter
however
rolling moment at axial direction is decreased gradually.
