and the gating system and cooling system were designed for aluminum alloy gearbox housings.ProCAST software was used to predict the filling and solidification process as well as the temperature field of gear box housing to optimize designs of the gating system and cooling system.According to the design scheme
the feasible die casting mould was designed and manufactured
and the reasonable technology was presented.Production reveals that
the absence of defects such as misrun
cold shut
can be observed.After machining
the defects exceeding the allowed limited values including porosity
shrinkage
and slag inclusion in the products are absent.The trial production shows that the mold design and die casting technology achieve a desirable effect.
