To understand effects of different vibration parameters on casting filling behavior
the static casting filling process was simulated by using ProCAST software.Based on EDEM-Fluent solid-liquid coupling model
solid particles motion diagram during liquid metal filling process in two phase flow field under multi-dimensional vibration were visualized approximately.Through orthogonal testing to optimize various vibrating parameters
effects of different frequency
amplitude and free degree on filling behavior were described.The results show that the vibration freedom and frequency have obvious effects on casting filling
while the amplitude has weak effect.In addition
the filling effects of metal liquid under multi-dimensional vibration are superior to those under static conditions.
