The multi-directional forging with mould was designed based on the traditional multi-directional forging for wrought high-performance 7075 aluminum alloy.The metal flow
pressing load and the effective strain distribution were analyzed comparatively
and the microstructure and uniformity of 7075 aluminum alloy after deformation were predicted in two kinds of processes by simulation method.It is concluded that compared with the traditional multi-directional forging
the multi-directional forging with mould can take ignore change of the shape and size of the billet after several pass deformation
and also the velocity of the metal flow is increased and the distribution tends to be more uniform in filling stage.Meanwhile
it can take the grain refinement and microstructure uniformity to a certain extent.The new process has obvious advantages in improving the quality of billet and material utilization.
