Abstract
Double suction stainless steel impeller was produced by investment casting according to its structure characteristics and quality requirements.In order to eliminate the casting defects such as central hub of shrinkage and blade cold shut
some measures were considered by simulating filling and solidification process through Magmasoft software to optimize gating system
including vertical casting with using both sides of high flow and fast filling and into the liquid steel at 800
