Abstract
The semi-solid slurry of A380 aluminum alloy was prepared through a serpentine pouring channel
and influences of pouring temperature
the curve numbers and the curve diameters in a serpentine channel on microstructure of the alloy slurry were investigated.The experimental results show that the satisfactory semi-solid A380 aluminum alloy slurry can be obtained with the pouring temperature at 610℃
650 ℃.The microstructure of the semi-solid A380 alloy slurry can be evolved from rossette to spherical particle.At a given pouring temperature
the particle size of primaryα-Al can be decreased and the shape factor of primaryα-Al is increased with the increases of the curve number or decrease of the diameter of the curve
at the same time
the microstructure of semi-solid A380 alloy slurry can be optimized.
