Influences of different power and time on the wettability and tensile strength of the carbon fibre(Cf)which was modified by the air cold plasma were investigated.The electroless plating processes before and after different Cfmodified by air cold plasma were analyzed.The wettability of Cftreated before and after the air cold plasma was examined by 0.5% methylene blue solution.The results show that the level of etching and the specific surface area on Cfsurface are increased with the increase of processing power and time
however
the wettability is firstly increased and then decreased.The tensile strength of Cfcompound samples before and after the air cold plasma was measured according to the GB/T3362-2005 standard.The results show that with 200 Wfor 2min
air cold plasma treatment for the carbon fibre exhibits desirable.Through SEM
EDS and XRD analysis
the continuous and rich copper is deposized on the surface of modified Cfby electroless plating at 70℃for 20 min.
