Functions or structural materials with high thermal conductivity
high wear resistance and high hardness could be prepared with diamond particles reinforced metal matrix
which could be widely used in many fields
such as electronic component
equipment manufacturing and rail transportation
and so on.The characteristics and the research progress in diamond/metal matrix composites were surveyed
and the conventional preparation techniques and methods of the diamond/metal matrix were presented.In addition
some problems in the composites were described.
