moisture content in the furnace atmosphere and oxi dizability of the melts on the hydrogen pick-up in aluminium alloy melts are researched systematically and the quantitative relations among these fac-tores and the hydrogen content are also given in this treatise
then the hydrogen pick-up mechanism of aluminium melts by oxidation of the melts is explained through micro-observation of morphology of the protective oxide skin of the melts
