The main purpose of this article is to study the relation between the damping capacities of Mn-Cu aad Cu-Zn-Al alloys and their mechanical behavior

and their damping capacities related to the loading conditions are also studied. Experimental results show that the damping capacities of these alloys are strongly related to the specific loading conditions. Better damping capacities can be obtained by proposed suitable heat treatments.
