The wear resistance of high aluminium zinc-based alloys containing 30
40 and 45% wt. Al at diffrent conditions was investigated. It was shown that the high aluminium zinc-based alloys were superior to ZCuSn6Zn6Pb3 and ZCuA19Fe4 in wear resistance providing the castings are of higher soundness
and a suitable as-cast aging could improve the wear resistance of Zinc-based alloys. In addition
the effects of soundness of castings on wear resistance was analyzed
the wear resistance mechanism of these alloys was explored.
