This paper discusses the application of numeric fluid dynamics in casting process. It is considered that the recently developed continuous model can make solidification simulation approach further to actual process. Macrosegregation in ingot can be pridicted by the fluid field modeling during solidification. Calculation can be promoted by adaptative pressure iteration method and can work under a simpler circumstances. It is obvious that fluid field simulation is still a challenging work in foundry.
