Based on briefly introducing accounts of “The First China International Die Casting Congress”, 56 copies of oral presentation papers on the congress on the subject of survey, die casting technology, die casting dies, die casting equipment, computer simulation technique and production management are reviewed in this paper, which includes 8 papers in the survey concerning development of die casting technology and its impact on market for the 21st century in China, Japan, southeast Asia, Russia, north America and Europe, and 18 papers in the die casting technology dealing with new die casting alloys, die casting lubricant and die casting technology, and 9 papers in the die casting dies including development of dies material, dies design, dies heat treatment, dies protection and CAD technique, and 7 papers in the die casting equipment considering new die casting machine design, application and development of shot controlling system and computer monitoring system, and 10 papers in the computer simulation technique concerning dies structure design, filling and solidification simulation, dies thermal balance and thermal field simulation technique, as well as 4 papers in the production management dealing with interchanging of management experience and international cooperation experience and secondary processing.
