We have studied the effect of rare earth on properties of Al Mg Si building material. The microstructure and constition were analyzed by metaloscopy
scanning electron micoroscope and photoelectron spectrum. Meanwhile the mechanical strength and corrosion resistance were measured. The results show that extruding preheast temperature is reduce to 430 ℃
volocity reaches to 6.28  ̄ 7.36 mm/s. The pertinent addition of RE to the Al Mg Si building material put in rational of rare earth may refine the grain and increase the mechanical intesity and corrosion resistance.
