Abstract
The effects of coating constituent
coating layer thickness
permeability and temperature on transfer behavior of polystyrene thermal degradation product through coating layer have been studied. The results showed that the peak value and time in the transfer curve decrease with the increase of the diatomite addition while the result is just contrary to the increase of mica powder addition. With the increase of coating layer thickness and the decrease of permeability
the peak values and time increase. The influence of the transfer behavior of the pattern thermal degradation product through coating layer on porosity in aluminum alloy casting in lost foam casting was approached. The results showed that high peak value and long transfer time are helpful to decrease the porosity in the aluminum casting.
