Abstract
Effects of coating layer thickness on the surface C content in ZG25 carbon steel casting in EPC by using EPS pattern
dry sand mould
and vacuum pouring were studied systematically. The results showed that surface C content has no change with proper coating layer thickness while with increasing in the coating layer thickness casting surface will appear in following sequence: decarburized zone carburized zone normal zone moreover
with decrease in decarbured zone and increase in carburized zone graduately.
