The structure of rapidly solidified Al-4Zr-2Ti (atom percentage) with spinning technique was investigated by means of TEM. The results showed that the micro-hardness values were closely correlated with the microstructure of the rapidly solidffied alloy. Melt-spun inicrostructuze of rapidly solidified alloy was founded to be single-phase-supersaturated Al base solid solution and the micro-hardness values were 220 HV. The metastable phase L1\-2-A1\-3(Zr
Ti) with cubic Li\-2 stnrcture was precipitated from the rapidly solidified alloy during annealing for 4 hours at 420℃ and the micro-hardness reached peak values of 260 HV while the Li\-2 phase in rapidly solidified alloy was transformed into DO 23 phase during annealing for 20 hours at 420℃ and the micro-hardness values decreased up to 150 HV.
