Abstract
Formation mechanism of the crack and its preventive methods in die casting were studied. It is found that formation of the crack can be prevented effectively by controlling chemical composition of the materials
increasing casting round and reducing difference of wall thickness in possibly permitted range
properly distributing temperature field and improving venting condition in die.
