inverse-segregation behavior and micro-shrinkage porosity of QSn6.5-0.1(Sn-P-Brone) strip billet in horizontal continuous casting were discussed. The results showed that column crystal dominated in transverse cross section; crystalline central line moved to top generally; crystalline angle was formed in main face; and inverse-segregation occurred in top
bottom surfaces and sides. Low tin zone appeared in the adjacency to segregation. The rejected castings presented during machining attributed to micro-shrinkage porosity.The effects of heat treatment on microstructures and mechanical properties were analyzed.Also rational heat treatment norm was built.
