Present status of dimensional accuracy of investment castings in China and gap of some related standards between China and foreign countries were introduced from objective point of view. Various factors influencing dimensional stability and key links influencing the assignment of the tooling allowance for the castings were expounded. It is emphasized to establish rational dimensional measuring system.
