Influence of strengthening treatment on the deformation of Al 2O 3/SiO 2 nano-compound ceramic core at high temperature was examined. The results showed that the strengthening treatment has great effect on the deformation of Al 2O 3/SiO 2 nano-compound ceramic core at high temperature. The deflection of the ceramic core at 1 550 ℃ for 1 h dropped from 7 mm to 1 mm before and after being strengthened. Concentration of the strengthening agent has a little effect on the deformation of the ceramic core while the strengthening times has relatively great effect.Lamellar mullite crystal microstructure appeared in the fracture surface of strengthened ceramic core
resulting in the core deformation decrease at high temperature.
