Abstract

The 3D mesh automatic generation of casting and cast mold is a prerequisite for metal solidification simulation of real shape. Using slice method and making the slice a little offset from oddity point

generated 3D right angle hexahedron mesh by automatic mesh generation based on STL files provided space location information on casting and cast mold for finite differential calculation in solidification simulation. The method with simple theory and rapid programization is a high efficient and accurate technique suitable for meshing entity with arbitrary shape.
