Abstract
Effects of electromagnetic continuous and discontinuous stirring at holding temperature on the microstructure for ZA27 alloy were investigated. Grain size can be refined effectively and a ideal critical value T C on stirring effect exists with electromagnetic continuous stirring at holding temperature while grain size was sphered remarkablly and distributed uniformly with discontinuous electromagnetic stirring.
