The smelting-casting method of the CuCrZr alloy using medium frequency induction furnance in atmosphere is introduced that can obviously reduce suction gas of the alloy
in which compound cover agent can be used to effectively decrease oxidation and shrinkage porosity of the alloy.The burning-loss rate of Cr in the CuCrZr alloy was significantly decreased by setting Cr-claded-Cu into the furnace before pouring liquid copper to melt.Cu-Zr master alloy was added into the alloy and the maximum Zr content can be obtained by only pouring-melting method in ladle.The pouring temperature should be keeped in the range of 1 150~ 1 200 ℃ to ensure the soundness of the ingot and low oxidized shrinkage porosity.The high strength and high conductivity of CuCrZr alloy can be produced by making plastic formation and aging for the ingot with steady and uniformly chemical composition and sound structure prepared by smelting-casting method in the condition of air.
