Abstract
The effects of Ca and Sr on the microstructures and properties
including microstructural morphology
mechanical properties and hot-crack resistantnce
were examined. The results showed that both Ca and Sr compound additions can not only refine microstructure but also improve the yield strength of the alloy. Proper Sr addition can improve effectively the hot-crack resistantnce of Ca-containing Mg alloy.
