The sub-micon mixture of AlN and compound salt was manufactured by high-energy ball-milling
and the 2618 alloy composites reinforced with 1% sub-micon AlN particulate (0.1~0.7 μm) were fabricated by a stirring casting method.The results showed that the sub-micon AlN particulate can be uniformly distributed into the alloy matrix.Moreover
the needle-like Al 9FeNi phase transform into fine particulate which is mainly distributed in the grain boundary due to the intensive stirring.
