alloy was examined by XRD and DSC.The compression strength of the as-cast and heat treated bulk amorphous alloy was researched.It was found that amorphous Zr
57Al
15-xCu
15.4Ni
12.6Nb
x
alloy containing 5%Nb(atom fraction) has the highest amorphous formation ability
in which the compression strength can reach up to 1705 MPa and the relative compression rate is about 0.104%.The compression strength of heat treated amorphous alloy is decreased remarkably due to the occurrence of precipitated phase or crystallization phase in the amorphous alloy.
