According to the characteristics of simple shape and thick-walled of the Mg alloy beam-barrel parts
adirect squeezing casting schematic was set to meet the requirements of high-strength and ductility.The heat treatable beam-barrel Mg alloy parts were manufactured with the pouring temperalure at 650 ℃ and extrusive pressure at 80 MPa by using the designed squeezing casting mould suitable for conventional hydraulic press.Solid solution and artificial ageing can improve the strength and plasticity of the beam-barrel Mg alloy parts.
