A kind of Cu-15.5Sn-5P-4.5Ni-0.4Mn brazing filler metal powder produced by gas atomization was used to weld T1 copper plate at 685 ℃ for 20 min
in which the joint length is 6mm and brazing gap thickness is 0.3 mm.The brazing filler melting point
microstructure and mechanical properties of joining were research.It was revealed that grain size of brazing filler metal powder is lower than 10 μm
and solidius and liquidius temperature is 576 ℃ and 596 ℃ respectively from DTA measurement
and the shearing strength is (176.965 MPa
)and the fracture mechanism exhibits quasi-cleavage fracture.A regression mathematical model on relation among shearing strength
solid-liquid temperature and chemical composition is built up through optimized design for chemical composition of the brazing filler metal powder based on a amount of experimental data from mechanical properties
melting point and corresponding chemical composition.The model is available for the alloy due to the difference between calculated value and measured ones lower than 5%.
