Origination of crack in hollow pure Al ingot with large diameter in centrifugal casting was analyzed from the aspects of Fe/Si ratio in raw materials

pouring temperature of liquid Al and cooling rate based on practical experience in the combination of theoretical analysis

and the countermeasures were proposed. The formation mechanism and influenctial factors of the crack were investigated

and the effective countermeasures were given.
