Effects of heat treatment on micro-yield strength (MYS) of Al
2
O
3
-SiO
2
/Al-Si metallic matrix composites (MMC) have been investigated by the continuously loading method. The results indicate that the composites possess the minimum micro-yield strength after quenched treatment. And the micro-yield strength of the composites treated by aging is superior to that of the composites treated by other methodes
which shows that aging is a greatly effective method of improving Al-Si matrix composites.
