The creep properties of in-situ 15%TiCP/2024Al composite were evaluated at various temperatures. The results show that the in-situ 15%TiCP/2024Al composites exhibit high temperature creep strength. The density changes of the composites increase with the increase of creep strain and creep time. And the changes of the density at lower temperature are higher than that at higher temperature. The creep damage can cause creep rupture when the density changes reach a certain extent.Being the interaction between the dislocations and the second-phaseparticles
the creep strength of the composites can be increased. The morphology of creep fracture shows that the cavities usually create at the habitat of one particle of several particles. The cavities spread continuously and ductility rupture will happen in the end.The temperature shows distinct affects to the creep process.
