The formation of crack in metal mould larger-plane thinned-wall aluminum alloy parts with deep-cavity was analyzed for oil tank.The defects are attributed to the alloy solidified characteristics and thermal stress and cotraction stress of the parts during solidification.The defects are eliminated success fully by controlling chemical composition of the alloy
enhancing refinement (pouring temperature of 710 ℃)
dispersively inducing pouring
controlling die temperature above 300 ℃
adjusting thickness of the coating and reinforcing solidified orders.
