Rolling process of spray deposited SiC particulates reinforced Al-8. 5 Fe-1. 3 V-1. 7 Si aluminum sheet has been investigated. The density change and mechanical properties during the rolling process at ambient temperature were examined
and its microstructure was observed by SEM and TEM. It is found that the compactness
rolling temperature and pass reduction play a significant role in rolling properties of the composites. The composites with tensile strength of 35 MPa and elongation of 7% can be obtained by optimizing rolling processing parameters.
