Abstract
Effects of Ce modification time and content on microstructure of eutectic Al-Si alloy have been investigated. The results show that with Ce modification
eutectic Si phase in the eutectic Al-Si alloy is converted from long needle to rosette. Modification time and content of Ce have the significant effects on grain refinement in the eutectic Al-Si alloy. The desirable modification effects can be observed with 1% Ce addition for 60
