The influence of processing history on microstructure and magnetic properties of Fe-49%Sn monotectic alloys under 5T high magnetic field have been investigated. The results showed that the cooling rates had little effect on microstructure and magnetic properties as it is slow. However
the Fe-rich phases were obviously coarsened when prolonging holding times under high magnetic field and then its magnetic properties were induced to enhance. Theoretical analysis showed that the solute diffusion in Fe-rich dendrite phases were accelerated
and the dendrite was coarsened when prolonging holding times under high magnetic field. moreover the magnetic anisotropy energy of Fe-49%Sn alloys was induced to increase
so that the magnetic permeability enhances. However
in these experiments
the weak cooling rate has a little effect on the microstructure and magnetic anisotropy energy
so its variety of magnetic permeability is small.
