The solidification behavior and microstructure of Sn-30Sb alloy which had been melted below and above the temperature-induced liquid structure transition were observed by forced cooling.The results show that compared with melt at holding temperature before liquid structure transition
the alloy melted above liquid structure transition temperature needs higher supercooling degree during solidification
and SnSb compound phase becomes finer and more dispersive
which is attributed to the debonding of atomic cluster in the melt structure at the liquid structure transition temperature range of 876
