Abstract
The defects in large section aluminum alloy perpendicular clamp in permanent mold gravity casting were analyzed.The casting defects
such as shrinkage hole
contracted cave and crack
in the castings have been effectively eliminated by vertically assembling casting and perpendicularly parting
which improves the bearing load by 30% than designed ones.The qualified rate of the product reaches 98% and the production efficiency is increased by 35%.
