beginning temperature and end-shape of ultrasonic horn
on size and morphology of primary phase in semi-solid slurry have been investigated by applying power ultrasonic on the top of ingot. The results show that size and morphology of primary phase in semi-solid slurry are refined and spheroidized with increasing in ultrasonic power. The desirable size and morphology of primary phase can be observed with applying ultrasonic at 640 ℃. Meanwhile
end-shape of ultrasonic horn has obvious effects on the size and morphology of primary phase.
