Abstract
Design of die casting die for magnesium alloy DVD housing was described
focusing on the gating system
cooling and holding system as well as pushing mechanism.The key points in gating system design
such as injection angular
filling velocity and buffer packet
were expounded.The three design sketches on die casting processing and die casting dies were analyzed comparatively by CAD/CAE/CAM simulation.The results indicate that the desirable processing parameters as follows:injection pressure of 12.71 MPa
die preheating temperature at 250℃
diameter of spray nozzle of 16.2 mm
pouring at 89 m/s
flow volume at 9.18 L/s
plunger diameter of 80mm and plunger velocity of 1.83 m/s.
