The cylindrical compression test is employed in this paper in order to study the deformation behavior of AZ80 Mg alloy at high temperature. The results show that with the increase of strain rate and the decrease of deformation temperature
the flow stress increases under the circumstance that the range of temperature
strain rate are 200~350 ℃ and 0.002~1 s-1 respectively. The constitutive equation of AZ80 Mg alloy during hot compression is deduced by linear regression analysis. The sensitivity exponent of strain rate increased with the increase of deformation temperature. The value of critical strain for dynamic recrystallization was determined from the strain-stress curves. The equation related to the Zener-Hollomon parameter was obtained too.
