Precipitation of coarse secondary phase in 6063 aluminum alloy can be reduced by controlling content of main element and adding rare earth element. Extrusion experiment shows that extrusion speed can be improved by 55% based on control and optimization of composition in the alloy. The grain size in the microstructure of 6063 aluminum alloy can be refined as a result of creation of fine RE reinforcing phase through OM (optical microscope) and energy spectrum analysis
and Fe content detrimental to mechanical properties of the alloy can be decreased with RE addition. Tensile strength
elongation
tensile stress of the 6063D alloy containing Re element are 211MPa
