the temperature field in CPC high-speed steel roller in continuous casting was simulated. The power of heating equipment and other parameters that could meet the requirements of fusion were determined by the optimum design. The simulated results reveal that solidification sequence of outer cladding metal shows from bottom to top and from inner-outer layer to central position. Outer cladding metal nearby the fusion interface of roll mandrel experienced the process of solidification-fusion-re-solidification.
