Based on performance requirements of automobile air condition accessories and characteristics of semi-solid process
quasi-eutectic Al-Si alloy Al-10.5Si-2.5Cu-1.0Mg-Mn was developed.The semi-solid billets with non-dendrite structure was prepared at 583℃by low-super-heating pouring technology.Amounts of free fine nuclei with high survival rate are created in the melt with holding for some time at low temperature nearby liquidus
which is responsible for the formation of non-dendrite on the aluminum alloy semi-solid billets.
