The homogeneous Al-Pb monotectic alloys were successfully prepared by a sloping plate method in which monotectic alloys were heated over the miscible temperature and then poured on sloping plate by employing the chilling effects resulting in the rapid decrease of temperature of liquid alloy.Meanwhile
solidification process of monotectic alloy was expounded.The results show that chilling effects of sloping plate can make the Stokes velocity and the Migration speed of Pb-rich phase to act each other to cancel out
which plays a significantly positive role in the homogeneous distribution of immiscible Al-Pb in cooling slope.Then the homogeneous and dispersive distribution of the Al-Pb monotectic alloys was obtained by cooling liquid metal in permanent mold at room temperature.
