The heat transfer model of air slip mold was established by the heat resistance theory,and effects of the contacted heat resistance between graphite ring and water cooling wall on the heat transfer and temperature distribution in the mold were analyzed,meanwhile,effects of different assembling ways on heat transfer and working temperature of graphite ring were approached.New method to structure design of mold for air slip continuous casting was presented.The results reveal that with increasing in heat resistance between graphite ring and mold,working temperature of graphite ring is increased,resulting in the deterioration of processing stability.In addition,the lubricating oil layer adhered on graphite ring in condition of a loose fit can result in the decrease of permeability of graphite,which is responsible for the absence of air film.The calculated results are in good agreement with the experimental ones.
