Effects of various routes and passes of ECAP (equal channel angular pressing) on the hardness and mechanical properties of the Mg-1Zn-2Nd magnesium alloy at different strain rates and temperatures were investigated
and tensile fracture morphology of the ECAPed alloy was observed by SEM (scanning electron microscope).The results show that the elongation and yield strength of the ECAPed Mg-2Zn-2Nd alloy at different temperatures are closely related to the pressing route and pass as well as the imposed strain rate.The ECAPed alloy exhibits typical ductile fracture morphology at different pressing routes and passes in condition of tensile loading.Elongation of the alloy with C route for four passes reaches maximum value of 381.8% at 300℃.
