Abstract
Mechanical properties of different positions in the solid solution treated low pressure casting A356.2 aluminum alloy wheel
which is treated by artificial ageing
natural ageing for 24 h and natural ageing for 48 h were measured
respectively
and mechanical properties of the finished product were tested and analyzed comparatively. The results reveal that compared those of T6 treated ones
yield strength
tensile strength and hardness of T4 treated (natural ageing for 48 hours) alloy wheel are decreased by 20%

respectively
while elongation is increased by 70%

00%. However
the tensile strength
yield strength and hardness of the alloy after baking are increased to some extent with the slight decrease of elongation. Aiming at the index of mechanical properties
the T4 treated (natural ageing for 24 hours) alloy can meet the requirements compared with T6 treated ones.
